About Kimberly

Kimberly's gift for portraiture emerged early.   In her childhood she was enchanted by portrait artists on the streets in her hometown of New Orleans and began drawing.   At the age of fifteen she took her first photography class and knew right away this would be her life’s work.   Though mostly self-taught, she went on to study art and photography at the Maryland Institute of Art as well as the San Francisco Institute of Art.

At the age of twenty-one she was invited to take photographs on a film and thus began her professional career.   In 2000, after several years in the film industry in Los Angeles, Kimberly took a break from her career to deepen her spiritual practice through meditation and then later to spend time with her son who was born in late 2001.   She now lives in New York and continues with her first love in photography, portraiture.   Her photographs have been published in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, and Premiere as well as countless others worldwide.   Her portraits have been published alongside the likes of photographer Annie Leibovitz.   Kimberly's current projects include two books which are due out in 2008 and 2009.
