About Kimberly
Kimberly began taking photographs
at the age of fifteen when she took a class on photography in
high school. She
knew right away this
would be her lifes work.
Though mostly self-taught, she studied art and photography at the Maryland
Institute of Art as well as the San Francisco Art Institute. At the
age of twenty-one she was invited to take pictures on the set of a film and
thus began her professional career. In 2000, after several years of working in the film industry in Los Angeles, Kimberly took a break from her
career to deepen her spiritual practice through meditation and then later to be with her son who was born in late 2001. She now lives in New York and continues with her first love in photography, portraiture. Over the
years her passion for spiritual awakening has brought new meaning to
her work. Kimberly's work has been published in countless magazines worldwide; Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, Premier to name a few, and her portraiture has been published alongside other legendary photographers such as Annie Leibovitz. Her current projects include two books which are due out in 2008 and 2009.
To the engaged couple:
Its true: Love makes the world go around. I am often deeply
moved by what I witness at weddings. The love that is possible
between two people and within a family is amazing. This is what we are here
for. It is an honor for me to photograph such a special occasion. |
